ABOUT KEIPA BOODJA ABORIGINAL SERVICES
The name "Keipa Boodja" comes from families who lived in Waterloo, a swampy area on the South West Highway between Bunbury and Brunswick Junction, in the 1960s and 70s. All Keipa Boodja members are Wardandi Noongar people with diverse expertise in fields like mental health, education, conservation, tourism, and community drug services.
Our Vision and Mission
Our mission is to preserve, share, and strengthen Noongar culture and knowledge, fostering respect and understanding through cultural awareness programs, advocacy, and mentorship. We are committed to empowering our community by working together to ensure the continuation of our rich cultural heritage.

TESTIMONIALS
The practical and knowledge sessions offered by Keipa Boodja are characterised by their passion, depth of knowledge, and cultural understanding of the needs of our local Noongar youth. Participants not only gain valuable insights into understanding their own local cultural history but also acquire a personal understanding of the complex factors that influence their own families through intergenerational trauma and being taken off country, amongst many other factors.
BUNBURY PCYC
I endorse Keipa Boodja, as an Aboriginal-led organisation, to encourage the continued development and expansion of their programs that provide a meaningful and positive impact of understanding and healing through cultural history, story-telling and cultural skills that First Nations young people require to develop their coping mechanisms and process their trauma. Keipa Boodja's commitment to promoting personal growth, identity, pride and resilience aligns completely with the values of inclusivity and equity that are central to our shared goals.
