TO JOIN

HIPPY is a free, home-based program for families in the two years before school.

It gives parents and carers the tools, confidence and support to be their child’s first teacher. Along the way, you can connect with other local families and mob while helping your child get a strong start for school and life.

HIPPY (The Home Interaction Program for Parents and Youngsters)

Keipa Boodja Aboriginal Corporation and Anglicare WA invites Noongar families and families from all demographics residing in the Bunbury and Collie surrounds, to join HIPPY with your 3-year-old child for a fun learning journey together, covering five different learning areas.

Every fortnight, HIPPY Tutors will yarn with you, bringing storybooks and activity packs to practice together so you feel confident sharing them with your little one at home.

The activities are simple, playful and only take around 10 to 15 minutes a day. They help your child grow, learn and build skills across different learning areas before starting school.

HIPPY Gatherings

Gatherings are fun, welcoming and family-friendly. They’re an opportunity for you to meet other HIPPY families, learn about your child’s development and to hear about local services and events in your community.

HIPPY Tutors

Tutors are HIPPY parents trained in each of the HIPPY activities and will practice them with you at each home visit.

As HIPPY parents, Tutors have the personal experience and community knowledge to support you as you learn with your child.
